An elegant frigate designed by naval architect F. H. Chapman in 1700 for the British fleet, the Unicorn’s design revolutionized the design and construction of men-of-war because of her speed and maneuverability.
Like the original, Corel’s HMS Unicorn 1:75 Scale model is armed with 24 guns on the open fighting deck and 8 guns below. Double plank-on bulkhead construction with walnut outer planking accented by maple and mahogany trim, gilded metal decorations along with other brass, copper and hardwood pieces make this an exceptionally fine model.
