This is the ship which gave its name to the movie starring Katherine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart. The story takes place during World War I. the African Queen attacks the German warship "Konigin Luise" on lake Victoria in Africa, after a long and dangerous trip down the tributaries to the lake.
Hull is ABS Plastic with laser cut wood parts, planking, and complete fittings including steam engine (non working) in metal, brass, wood and plastic. Rub rail line, silk flag, pre-printed and colored canopy cloth and mounting cradle are also included along with prop, shaft and stuffing box. Basic installation of two motors (not included) is shown, one for realistic operation of the steam engine, and one for propulsion. Also fully illustrated construction manual and plans.
